• Pet information: your pet's name, breed, species, birthday, weight, gender, photo, and personality traits

4. How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which provides cloud-based storage and authentication services. Firebase complies with industry-standard security practices. Your data is stored on Firebase servers and is protected by encryption in transit and at rest.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With caregivers you invite: When you use the co-parenting feature, the caregivers you invite will have access to your pet's information based on the permissions you grant them.
• With service providers: We use Google Firebase for backend services. Their privacy policy applies to how they handle data on our behalf.
• For legal reasons: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data including pet profiles, health records, and uploaded documents will be permanently deleted from our systems.

• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings screen
• Change your email address or password at any time through the Settings screen
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

8. Children's Privacy

Petling is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Push Notifications

Petling sends push notifications for reminders and health alerts that you set up within the app. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings or through the Settings screen within the app.

10. Photos and Documents

Photos and documents you upload are stored securely in Google Firebase Storage. They are only accessible to you and any caregivers you have granted access to through the co-parenting feature. We do not use your photos or documents for any other purpose.

Petling uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Expo — mobile app platform and push notification delivery

These services have their own privacy policies which govern their use of your data.

By downloading, installing, or using Petling, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Petling is a mobile application designed to help pet owners manage their pets' health records, track vaccinations and medications, set reminders, log weight, store documents, and share pet care responsibilities with other caregivers.

3. User Accounts

To use Petling, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information
• Verifying your email address upon registration

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Petling only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Use the app for any fraudulent or illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or violates any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
• Use the app to harm, harass, or impersonate others

5. Pet and Health Data

Petling allows you to store health-related information about your pets. Please note:

• The information stored in Petling is for personal reference only
• Petling is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical decisions regarding your pet
• We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information stored in the app

6. Co-Parenting and Caregiver Access

When you invite caregivers to access your pet's profile:

• You are responsible for the caregivers you invite and the permissions you grant them
• You can remove caregiver access at any time through the Care Team settings
• Caregivers must agree to these Terms of Service to use the app
• You remain the primary account holder and are responsible for your pet's data

7. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Petling, including photos, documents, and health records. By uploading content, you grant Petling a limited license to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose other than operating the app for you.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings screen. Upon deletion:

• All your personal data will be permanently removed
• All pet profiles and health records will be deleted
• This action cannot be undone

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

9. Disclaimers

Petling is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• That the app will be available at all times without interruption
• That the app will be free from errors or bugs
• The accuracy or completeness of any information stored in the app

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Petling and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any decisions made based on information stored in the app.

Your use of Petling is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
